With the increasing range, complexity and variety of spare parts sold under the TVS Girling, TVS Apache and TVS Sprinter brands, the need to train, demonstrate and proliferate best practices to service providers became paramount. To support this requirement of OEMs and the increasing multi-branded workshops and local garages, a team of over 20 field technical engineers was deployed to support, solve and train technical issues that may arise during purchase, fitment or operation.
Being a safety critical product, mechanics are trained on the usage and application of new products and are taught to follow best practices. With the introduction of its first-of-a-kind `Mobile Training Centre’ equipped with state-of-art training facilities, TVS Girling goes the extra mile to satisfy the end customer.
Mobile Training Centre
With increasing product varieties, new products and technologies coming in, there was a need to educate the mechanics, to ensure the best practices are followed. In addition to the traditional way of imparting training through mechanics meet, van campaign etc, a deeper penetration to mechanics was essential.
Hence, Brakes India has designed and introduced a new training model called `Mobile Training Center’, equipped with 20ft air conditioned container housed on a trailer with state-of-the art facilities. It is very unique and first of its kind in India, where we take the training school to aftermarket mechanics, with training imparted in vernacular languages.
